Job summary

24x7 Group is seeking a part-time Passenger Assistant to support safe transport of passengers to and from school, college or day care centres.

The role offers term-time hours (12.5 to 20 per week), monthly pay (£560-£860, route dependent), and benefits including holiday pay and a pension. Training is provided to help you work effectively with children and adults.

You will build positive relationships with passengers, carers, and staff while ensuring safety and comfort on journeys.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check to work with children and vulnerable adults.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid Training - willing to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

Responsibilities

• Transport SEN or vulnerable passengers to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work safely and flexibly to support company operations.
• Establish positive, professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and establishments.
• Assist the driver with company vehicles, including cars, 8-seat carriers, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathetic, keeping passengers occupied and comfortable on journeys.

Passenger Assistant Role And Responsibilities

Salary: £560 - £860 per month (route dependent)

Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Your Role

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres
• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.
• To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.

This role involves driving children (Child Workforce LW 9) and conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability (Adult Workforce LW 12).
