Portsmouth City Council invites applications for relief Passenger Assistants to cover for absent staff. You will be responsible for pupils' safety and behaviour on journeys to schools and centres, with equipment such as car seats and ramps.

Hours align with school times (08:00–09:30 and 14:30–16:15 term-time). Some hours may be available at other times. Vacancies are filled from the relief list.

Formación

• Must ensure pupils' safety and well-being during journeys.
• Familiarise with operation of equipment such as car seats, passenger lifts, ramps and wheelchair restraints.

Responsabilidades

• You will be responsible for the child/children's behaviour, safety and general wellbeing during journeys to and from schools, colleges and contact centres.
• This is a role where you work mainly on your own as a representative of Portsmouth City Council, working with a driver employed by a transport provider.
