Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking security professionals to join our Security Guard teams for the DWP project across the London region, covering sites such as Hounslow, Staines, Twickenham, Uxbridge, Harrow, Watford, Borehamwood, Wembley, Acton, Shepherd Bush, Fulham, Hayes, Westminster, Wembley, North Kensington, Neasden.

You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and liaise with local authorities, ensuring safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is required.
• DS Licence is required.
• UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for DWP staff, visitors, and property.
• Patrol premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring proper identification and verification.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors with security matters.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.

Job Overview

• Flexibility to travel, as this role will cover various DWP sites within the London region, Include (Hounslow, Staines, Twickenham, Uxbridge, Harrow, Watford, Borehamwood, Wembley, Acton, Shepherd Bush, Fulham, Hayes, Westminster, Wembley, North Kensington, Neasden)
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for the DWP staff, visitors, and property.
• Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring proper identification and verification.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

Security and Health & Safety

• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
• To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
