Mencap in Great Tey (Colchester) is seeking a Relief Waking Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team. You’ll provide compassionate support during the night to adults with a learning disability, including personal care, medication/PRN administration, wellbeing checks, laundry and light cleaning.

This role offers night hours and opportunities for ongoing training in a supportive environment. Flexibility to work the hours you choose, annual leave based on hours, and a commitment to training

  • DBS check required.

Job description

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Relief Waking Night Support Worker to join our incredible team in Great Tey in Colchester. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. This role will involve providing support during the night to the adults with a learning disability. Duties will include supporting with personal care, administering medication/PRN, checking on general well-being, carrying out laundry tasks and some cleaning tasks throughout the night. Typical shifts are for 9 hours (10:00 pm to 07:00 am) We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to making a difference to the people with learning disability. This is a tremendously rewarding role! In addition to this, you will be supported with our ongoing award-winning training to enhance your career.

  • An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate. Offer subject to suitable references and the right to work in the UK.
