Job Overview

Mitie is seeking a Relief Logistics Security Officer to provide excellent customer service and create a safe environment free from crime for visitors and colleagues. Candidates should ideally hold a current SIA licence or certificates, with training available in some cases.

Vetting

A full 5-year checkable employment/education history is essential; failure to provide this may result in withdrawal of the job offer or employment termination.

Main Duties

1. Deliver industry-leading customer service
2. Conduct patrols of the depot
3. Provide visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
4. Utilise CCTV systems to support crime reduction and stock loss prevention
5. Liaise with depot management teams
6. Deter theft and other poor working practices
7. Conduct searches (details to be discussed at interview)
8. Respond to incidents or requests for assistance, taking control until authorities arrive
9. Highlight breaches of security procedures and internal/external crime
10. Support access and egress systems as required
11. Perform gatehouse duties, including vehicle bookings and supporting transport operations (details to be discussed at interview)
12. Possess reasonable PC skills
