Job summary

MHA is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant (Relief) to support the Cook at Coed Craig, Colwyn Bay. You will help with food preparation, serving meals, kitchen hygiene and safe handling of residents' meals in a busy care environment.

You will follow food safety standards, work as part of a supportive team and participate in training to develop your catering skills while contributing to residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene certificate is essential.
• Experience with basic food preparation is desirable.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, serving meals, washing up and storing crockery safely.
• Maintain clean and tidy kitchen areas according to schedules and Food Safety Manual.
• Dispose of waste safely and hygienically, restock materials.
• Assist with laundry for kitchen linen.
• Follow COSHH, food hygiene and health & safety rules at all times.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and choice.
• Attend training, supervision and staff meetings.
