Job summary

Dimensions is seeking Relief Female Support Workers to provide flexible care across four supported living homes in Aylsham, Reedham and Hellesdon, Norfolk. You will support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live great lives, with shifts including early, late, long days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Role requires a caring, positive attitude, flexibility to work across homes, and the ability to build positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, caring attitude and ability to relate to adults with learning disabilities.
• Flexible to work across multiple homes and shifting patterns.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn different communication styles.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and training.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with personal care, medication and daily living tasks.
• Help access local community, appointments and hobbies.
• Assist with shopping, cooking, household tasks and managing finances.
• Build communication and relationships with people who may not use words.
• Encourage independence and choice in daily life; work across homes as needed.

We are looking for Relief Support Workers to provide flexible support across four supported living homes in Aylsham, Reedham and Hellesdon.You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live great lives. Every day is different and could include:

• Supporting people with personal care, medication and daily living tasks
• Helping people access their local community, attend appointments and enjoy hobbies and interests.
• Supporting with shopping, cooking, household tasks and managing finances.
• Building communication and meaningful relationships with people who do not use words to communicate.
• Encouraging independence, choice and control in all aspects of daily life.
• Working across a variety of homes, supporting established teams when additional cover is needed.

The people we support enjoy a wide range of interestsincluding swimming, shopping, arts and crafts, café visits, holidays, walks, bowling and spending time with family and friends.

Relief colleagues provide flexible cover across: early shifts, late shifts, long days, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays

Previous care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided. We are looking for people with the right values, enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference.
