Job summary

Dimensions is hiring a Female Support Worker for a part-time role (20 hours per week) in Reedham, Norfolk. You will provide personal care, assist with medications, cooking, household tasks and accompany the residents on activities and outings in a supportive home environment.

Must have a Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. The role offers flexible shifts within a small team, with focus on gentle, person-centred care and building lasting relationships with the ladies we support.

We are looking for a part-time Female Support Worker (20 hours per week) to join an established team supporting three ladies in their own supported living bungalowin Reedham, a village in the Norfolk Broads, approximately 15 minutes from Great Yarmouth and around 25-30 minutes from Norwich by car.

The people we support do not use words or formal communication methods, so you'll become skilled at understanding vocal sounds, body language, and non-verbal cues. This makes the role particularly rewarding, as you will build strong relationships and learn to recognise what matters most to each person.

Day-to-day, you will provide full support with personal care, support with medication, and help maintain a warm, well-run home. You will also support with cooking and meal preparation, household tasks, and managing day-to-day appointments such as GP visits or home maintenance.

Life here is active and social. The ladies enjoy swimming (you will need to feel confident in the water), shopping trips, meals out, bowling, walks in the town, and drives out for treats like ice cream. Supporting them to access these interests and enjoy new experiences is a big part of the role.

You will work as part of a small, consistent team (typically two staff on shift), with a strong focus on teamwork and continuity of support. Flexibility is important, as shifts are worked across a rolling rota and include long days, 7 hour shifts, and 6 hour early or late shifts.

About you

You will be someone who is caring, observant, and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting others. You do not need to have done this exact role before, but you will need the confidence to learn, adapt, and work closely within a team.

You will:

• Be attentive and intuitive, with the ability to understand non-verbal communication.
• Be reliable, flexible and a strong team player.
• Feel confident supporting with day-to-day responsibilities, from cooking to organising appointments.
• Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence and confident driving a manual car.
• Access to your own vehicle for travel to the home.
