Relief Duty Manager at McCarthy Stone

McCarthy Stone is looking for a professional Relief Duty Manager to join their team at the prestigious Barnhill Court development in Chipping Sodbury.

This role offers a unique approach to care, emphasizing quality and community.

Salary and Hours

Base Salary: £13.56 per hour (day rate) and £11.44 per hour (sleeping night rate), plus additional pay (see below).

Hours: To be confirmed with the Manager. Day shifts vary between 08:45-16:30 or 16:15-09:30. Night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00. Relief Duty Managers sleep from 23:00 to 07:00, providing emergency support to homeowners during this period.

About the Role

As a Relief Duty Manager, you will uphold high customer service standards and support the management of a thriving community of active, independent older adults. You will ensure residents' safety, oversee care and support teams, and promote community activities.

About You

You should be warm, friendly, organized, self-motivated, with experience in care or support environments and excellent care skills. A QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) is preferred, but relevant experience and alternative qualifications will be considered.

You will be responsible for managing security, ensuring residents' wellbeing, and overseeing staff. You should be proactive, able to lead by example, and committed to enhancing the lives of older people.
