Job summary

North Yorkshire Council’s Bewerley Park Outdoor Learning Centre in Pateley Bridge is seeking a motivated staff member to join our catering and cleaning operations, delivering high standards of service to students, staff and visitors.

You will assist with food preparation, cleaning, laundry and room setup, report hazards, and follow training requirements to maintain a safe, welcoming environment across teaching and residential areas.

Qualifications

• Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas to a high standard and leave them tidy and safe for students, staff and visitors.
• Provide ad-hoc domestic and laundry services as required.
• Assist with food preparation, presentation, cooking, service, washing up, clearing and cleaning of equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Undertake light sewing and laundry repairs where required.
• Undertake training as required by management.
• Report issues/defects/potentials hazards to managers as soon as possible.
• Help ensure facilities staff provide a high standard of customer care and support the smooth running of the centre.

We have an opportunity to join our award-winning NYES Management Catering & Cleaning team atBewerley Park Outdoor Centre , Bewerley , Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5JB.

W e are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of staff to join our team at Bewerley Park Outdoor Learning Centre’s catering and cleaning operations.

You will bring flair and creativity to the role, assisting with the catering on site and in providing the highest standard of cleaning and room set up, providing excellent customer service throughout, contributing to attracting new clientele as well as retaining existing.

To achieve this you will be required to undertake, as required, internal cleaning of all centres. Areas to be cleaned may include teaching, catering, residential and office buildings including kitchens and dining rooms, dormitories, residential areas, classrooms, stores, toilets, wash blocks, drying rooms, office areas, meeting rooms, staff rooms, lobbies, other communal areas etc.

In this role, you will:

• Clean all areas allocated to a high standard and leave these areas tidy and safe for students, staff and visitors.


• Provide other ad-hoc domestic and laundry services as required.


• Assist with food preparation, presentation, cooking, service, washing up, clearing, and cleaning of equipment used maintaining high hygiene standards.


• Undertake light sewing and laundry repairs where required


• Undertake any training as required by management.


• Use initiative to solve simple problems.


• Report issues / defects/ potential hazards to managers as soon as possible.


• Help ensure all facilities staff provide a high standard of customer care and support the smooth running of the centre at all times.
