Job summary

SIDCOT SCHOOL is seeking a Relief Cover Minibus Driver on a casual basis to cover regular minibus drivers and transport pupils to and from school. You will drive the school minibus responsibly, follow the approved route and ensure pupil safety.

Minibus training will be provided and a full driving licence with D1 category is essential. The post may involve supporting staff on school trips, fixtures and camps, with safeguarding checks required.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with D1 category is required.
• Minibus driving experience or training provided by the employer.
• Ability to transport pupils safely and responsibly.
• Willing to undergo safeguarding checks as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Drive the school minibus to transport pupils to and from school.
• Follow the approved school route and ensure pupil safety at all times.
• Provide minibus driving cover on school trips, fixtures and camps when needed.
• Support teaching staff in coordinating transport during activities.

You will also have the opportunity to support teaching staff in providing minibus driving cover on school trips, fixtures and camps.
