Job summary

Tonic Talent is seeking an aroaming/relief chef to join a Midlands-based contract catering operation. You will cover various sites on a roaming basis, driving your own vehicle, with shift pattern roughly 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, about 40 hours per week.

The role requires flexibility to travel nationwide occasionally and to support occasional evening functions. Expenses paid at 0.35 per mile.

Qualifications

• Chef with leadership experience in a fresh food environment.
• Passionate about food, fresh produce, the kitchen and cooking.
• Experience managing all financial aspects of a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Roaming/relief chef across Midlands contracts.
• Lead kitchen operations and ensure high quality, cost-effective cooking.
• Travel nationwide on an as-needed basis and cover peak demand.

Tonic have been chosen to source aroaming / relief chef for one of our client's contract catering businesses located in the Midlands. The exact locations and business that you cover will depend on demand. You must be a driver and have your own vehicle. Working for this great company in this role could well lead to a position within a key site.

Due to the style of our clients sites the work is predominantly Mon-Fri day time only. Role will include working at B&I sites along with independent schools, start times are around 7.00am until 3:30pm, 40 hours per week. Travel time would not form part of working hours; candidate must be willing to travel nationwide occasionally. A degree of flexibility will be required to work on the occasional evening function. Expenses paid at £0.35p per mile.
