Job summary

Stir is seeking a Relief Catering Assistant to support school kitchens across the area, delivering friendly, high-quality service and helping prepare nutritious meals. You will be part of a busy team, ensuring a welcoming dining experience for students and staff.

The ideal candidate shows enthusiasm for food service, good communication, and a can-do attitude. Driving license and access to a car are preferred; DBS disclosure is mandatory for safeguarding. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or food service experience is a bonus.

As a Relief Catering Assistant, you will represent our service across school kitchens within your area, delivering friendly, high-quality customer service. In this hands-on role, you'll help prepare fresh, nutritious, and sustainably sourced meals that support healthy school days.

Role Responsibility

Service Excellence: Work as a dynamic part of the team to create a fantastic dining experience for all our students and staff—you’re key to lunchtime happiness!

Customer Champion: Serve food and operate thetills(don't worry, we provide full training!).

Culinary Support:Jump in and assist the chefs with meal preparation, playing a vital role in bringing our delicious menus to life.

Keep it Sparkling: Ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

• Safety First:Adhering to all guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.
