MHACare is seeking a Care Assistant (Relief) based at Charnwood House, Coventry. The role focuses on delivering compassionate personal and social care to residents and supporting their dignity, independence, and well-being. You will work to MHA’s values of respect and concern for the individual.

As a relief role, you will become part of a supportive team, adapting to rosters that include weekends. Prior care experience is nice to have but training is provided, with DBS checks and uniform

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Caring nature with patience and empathy.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans to enhance wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
