Job summary

MHA is seeking a Care Assistant (Relief) based at Hartcliffe care home, Bristol. The role supports residents with personal and social care, prioritising dignity, well-being, and independence within a values-driven environment.

You will act as a keyworker, contribute to care plans, and help ensure safeguarding and safety practices are followed, joining a supportive team committed to quality care.

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring nature with patience and empathy.
• Previous care experience desirable.
• Flexible across a rota including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
