Care Assistant (Relief) based at Alexandra House, Dovercourt, near Harwich, is a role within MHA. You will provide personal and social care to residents, upholding dignity and independence while aligning with our values of respect and compassion.

The position offers a supportive team environment, flexible weekend rotas, and strong emphasis on wellbeing. Training is available and DBS checks are provided where required.

Qualifikationen

• Respect for older people and patient care.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1–2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring nature with empathy.
• Previous care experience is desirable, though not essential.
• Work flexibly across a rota, including weekends.

Aufgaben

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including those for residents with dementia.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, infection control, and health & safety practices.
