Job summary

MHA seeks a Care Assistant (Days) at Alexandra House, Dovercourt to provide personal and social care that preserves dignity and independence for residents. You will work as part of a friendly team, supporting residents with dementia while upholding safeguarding and health and safety standards.

The role requires flexibility to cover a rota, including weekends, and offers an environment focused on compassion, teamwork and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained at Level 1/2 in social care.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Caring, patient and empathetic.
• Experience in care is desirable but not essential.
• Flexible across a rota including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care per care plans, supporting wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control and health & safety practices.
