Job summary

MHA’s Aigburth care home in Leicester is seeking a Care Assistant (Relief) to support residents with personal and social care, delivered with dignity and independence in a home-like setting.

You will be part of a supportive team, working across a rota including weekends, with scope to develop through on-the-job training and DBS-related updates. The role emphasizes wellbeing, respect, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care is desirable but not essential.
• Willing to be trained and developed (Level 1 or 2 encouraged).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while providing person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety practices.
