Wixams, part of the Extra Care Charitable Trust, is recruiting care staff now!

We provide a domiciliary care service all under one roof. No more travelling!

• Role: Relief Care Assistant (2x day positions and 1x night position available)
• Hours: Relief, adhoc (various day shifts available, night shift is 9pm-7am)
• Salary: £13.61 per hour
• Location: Wixams Retirement Village, Bedford Road, Bedford, MK42 6EA

As a Relief Care Assistant, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Provide all aspects of domiciliary care to our residents including both physical, personal care and support with social activities,
• Promote and support the physical, emotional, and well-being of our residents
• Encourage independence and self-belief
• Ensure records and documents are completed in line with our policy.

Person Specification

• Hold a care certificate or be willing to undertake a care qualification
• Personable, an effective communicator, and a team player
• Passionate about delivering a quality care service
• Flexible with hours.
