Job summary

MHA's Fitzwarren House Swindon is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator (Relief) to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that meet residents' social, physical and emotional needs. You will work with colleagues, families, volunteers and local community groups to keep residents engaged, independent and fulfilled.

The role offers flexible hours (relief), a supportive environment, safeguarding and infection control policies followed, and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people through meaningful engagement.
• Ability to design and deliver group and individual activities that motivate participation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Confident use of IT tools and helping residents with IT.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver a programme of activities based on residents' social needs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, and emotional wellbeing through engaging activities.
• Support residents in accessing IT options to stay connected with family and friends.
• Liaise with key workers, relatives, volunteers and community organisations to coordinate participation.
• Keep accurate records of activities, attendance and outcomes for care plans.
• Review and adapt activities regularly to meet changing needs and preferences.
• Support colleagues and contribute to induction of new staff.
