Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is recruiting reliable Van Drivers for a temporary, ongoing position in Glasgow. The role involves safely operating 3.5t vehicles on planned routes, delivering mail and parcels, with daily vehicle checks and accurate paperwork.

You’ll work varied shifts and join a nationwide logistics operation that values reliability and professionalism. Applicants should hold a valid UK Cat B licence, have up to 6 penalty points, and ideally 1 year of van driving experience within logistics.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat B driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year previous van driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 21 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 3.5t vehicles on planned routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers.
• The collections & delivery of mail & parcels efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
