Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to support depot-to-depot mail transport in Bridgend. Earn £21.44-£24.57 per hour with regular shifts and a guaranteed minimum daily hours. Temporary/ongoing role with weekly PAYE pay, holiday pay and pension benefits.

Shifts include morning, evening and weekend slots. You will perform pre-shift safety checks and comply with CPC and tachograph requirements while maintaining route discipline and on-time delivery to depots.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence (held for at least 12 months).
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 180 days of Class 1 driving experience within the last year.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Able to pass DBS and vetting checks.
• Driving licence showing your current address.

Responsibilities

• Transport mail between Royal Mail depots.
• Follow planned routes with minimal loading or unloading.
• Choose from morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift.
