Smurfit Westrock in March, United Kingdom, is seeking a maintenance technician with a positive, proactive approach to keep production running smoothly. The role involves working on 24-hour shifts over five days, with some holiday cover and overtime.

You will apply DMAIC problem-solving to identify root causes, work with AC/DC motors and drives, and read electrical and pneumatic schematics. Relevant Level 3 Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or qualification is essential, with fault-finding

Competenze

• Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification gained through an apprenticeship / practical learning course.
• Relevant experience ideally in a production manufacturing environment including fault finding and electrical repairs for industrial equipment.

Mansioni

• Maintain and service AC/DC motors and drives.
• Read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Apply DMAIC to identify root causes of issues.

The Role

The role will operate on an eight-hour x three shift basis (24hr/5 days) with an element of holiday cover and overtime availability.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and have a right first-time approach to maintenance tasks, including using DMAIC problem solving techniques to identify the root cause of an issue.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of AC / DC motors and drives, read electrical / pneumatic schematic drawings and have a mechanical understanding of core

Qualifications Skills and Experience

• Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification gained through an apprenticeship / practical learning course
• Relevant experience ideally in a production manufacturing environment including fault finding and electrical repairs for industrial equipment.
