Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd. is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its Brackley site to drive asset reliability and maintenance planning. You’ll monitor downtime, analyze trends, and lead continuous improvement projects within the engineering team.

The role welcomes both graduates and experienced engineers, with regular hours Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and a collaborative environment across maintenance and operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification above L3 (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required).
• Experience gained from an Engineering Maintenance environment.
• Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to multi‑task and thrive in a timeline‑driven environment.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Good IT ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability and asset care for equipment in the area.
• Maintain high reliability and availability via an effective planned maintenance regime.
• Analyse downtime and efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
• Raise planned maintenance or reactive maintenance jobs for the area.
• Review completed job sheets for the area.
• Produce downtime data for weekly meetings.
• Lead and support installation and capital projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and contractors.
• Identify engineering and KPI improvements.
• Coordinate with on‑shift engineers to resolve issues.
• Support maintenance planning to improve asset availability.
• Coordinate OEM service visits and plan follow‑up work.
• Oversee calibrations and PUWER assessments for compliance.
