Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team at the Brackley site. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights, in a fast-paced FMCG factory environment where hygiene is critical.

You will optimise machinery output, minimise downtime, and respond to breakdowns with emphasis on safe, high-quality production. Avara Foods offers competitive pay while supporting career development in a large food business.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in Engineering.
• Willingness to develop in FMCG factory environment.
• Ability to work 4 on 4 off rotating shifts (days and nights).

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance to optimise machinery output and product quality.
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and minimize plant disruption.
• Follow hygiene and health & safety guidelines in all activities.
• Raise stock/non-stock requests and participate in continuous improvement.
