Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Hereford site, to own equipment in an area, drive reliability improvements and manage maintenance planning. You will monitor downtime, analyse trends to raise planned and reactive work, coordinate OEM service visits, and work with site teams and contractors to improve asset availability and performance.

Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30. The role requires engineering qualification and maintenance experience, plus strong problem solving, teamwork,

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification Level 3 or above.
• Experience in engineering maintenance environment.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a timeline-driven environment.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good IT ability.

Responsibilities

• Own all equipment in the assigned area and maintain reliability.
• Maintain a high level of equipment reliability through planned maintenance.
• Gather and analyse downtime data to drive improvements.
• Raise planned and reactive maintenance jobs for the area.
• Review all completed job sheets in the area.
• Produce downtime data for weekly meetings.
• Lead and support installation and capital projects.
• Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and contractors.
• Understand KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
• Interact with on-shift engineers to resolve equipment problems.
• Support site reliability planning to improve asset availability.
• Coordinate OEM service visits and scheduling of follow-up work.
