Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a business in their search for a Reliability Engineer to work in Liverpool. You will be responsible for reactive maintenance and repair of production equipment across powder filling, packaging lines and general process equipment.

The role requires root cause analysis, vibration and ultrasound diagnostics, and hands-on PLC/HMI troubleshooting, with a proactive approach to improving reliability and reducing downtime.

• Previous multiskilled maintenance experience within a Reliability Engineering, maintenance or similar engineering role
• Root cause analysis experience
• Experience of vibration analysis and ultrasound techniques
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Ability to carry out first-line PLC and HMI diagnostic checks and troubleshooting
• The Reliability Engineer will require a proactive approach to identifying equipment faults and improving reliability

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and repair of production equipment including powder filling systems, packaging lines, mixing vessels and general process equipment
• Investigate underperforming equipment and implement corrective actions, working closely with internal departments to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Condition monitoring and first-line PLC and HMI diagnostic checks and troubleshooting

• Pay: £45,000 - £53,000 per annum
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm
• Duration: Permanent

Job Role

As the Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance and repair of production equipment, including powder filling systems, packaging lines, mixing vessels and general process equipment. The Reliability Engineer will investigate underperforming equipment and implement corrective actions, working closely with internal departments to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability. The role will also involve condition monitoring, first-line PLC and HMI diagnostic checks and subsequent troubleshooting.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous multiskilled maintenance experience within a Reliability Engineering, maintenance or similar engineering role
