Job summary

Recruit Mint is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced production environment where reliability and safety are valued. You will own maintenance, perform repairs, and support upgrades so plant performance stays on target.

Ideal candidates will have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, solid diagnostic skills, and experience with boilers, chillers and utility systems. The role offers an attractive salary with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience maintaining production/process equipment in a factory setting.
• Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance across production equipment to meet performance targets.
• Carry out mechanical setup, changeovers, and production support.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support fabrication, machining, and installation of plant and machinery.
• Respond to first-line issues across boilers, chillers, compressors and site utilities.
• Work safely, follow site standards and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Use stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems accurately.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site.
• Provide occasional support to electrical tasks when required (within competency).
