Job summary

HSBC Group in Leeds is seeking a Relationship Manager for our SME Banking segment, handling a portfolio of 50-70 clients and driving sustainable growth through expanding relationships and leveraging HSBC's network.

You will represent HSBC in the local business community, placing customers' needs first and delivering world-class service while identifying new business opportunities and managing risk across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in Business/Corporate Banking or Financial Services.
  • Relationship management or client management experience with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Business development skills with a track record of account expansion and winning new business.
  • Commercial lending skills and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and share information in a clear, concise and accurate way.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management.
  • A full driving licence to attend face-to-face meetings across West Yorkshire.

  • Adhere to structures and processes for management of credit, operational, reputation, financial crime, and regulatory risk.
  • Collaborate with product partners to assess needs of international and domestic customers and offer appropriate solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our SME Business Banking segment where you'll engage with our existing and prospective customers to help them realise their ambitions. As a Relationship Manager, your key goal will be to operate as a person of influence to our customers with a turnover of between £2m and £15m and ensure you deliver world-class customer service.

Responsibilities
