Job summary

GB Bank in London seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to originate and structure property finance loans up to £20m, leveraging a broker network and industry relationships to hit lending targets. You will deliver exceptional service to clients and brokers, coordinating with Credit and Loan Operations to move applications from initial review to completion.

You’ll be responsible for expanding GB Bank’s market share, maintaining professional partnerships, and representing the bank at industry

Qualifications

• Proven property lending Relationship Manager/Director with ability to originate loans up to £20m.
• Strong business development skills with broad market knowledge and presence.
• Proven ability to build trusted long-term relationships with clients, brokers and professional partners.
• Existing network of brokers and introducers to support success at GB Bank.
• Strong understanding of property finance products and related risk management.

Responsibilities

• Origination of new specialist property lending enquiries to targets and manage through credit approval to completion.
• Provide exceptional customer service to attract and retain customers and build relationships.
• Deliver service to broker networks and maintain GB Bank visibility in the market.
• Negotiate and structure loan applications with Credit Team from initial review to completion.
• Support Portfolio team with periodic credit reviews and covenant monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships with key professionals including solicitors and valuers as needed.
• Represent the bank at industry events to enhance visibility and market share.

In This Role, You Will

As a Relationship Manager, you will drive new business growth in the property finance sector, leveraging your broker network and key industry relationships to meet lending targets.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

• Origination of new specialist property lending enquiries to agreed targets and managing these through the credit approval process to completion with the support of an Assistant Relationship Manager and the Loan Completions Team.
• The provision of exceptional levels of customer service to attract and retain both new and existing customers leading to strong and long‑lasting customer relationships.
• Delivering fantastic service to your broker network and ensuring that GB Bank is at the forefront of their thoughts for their client’s future lending needs.
• Negotiating and structuring of loan applications and proposals with the Loan Operation team to send to the Credit Team from initial review and through to credit approval and loan completion.
• Supporting the Portfolio team in carrying out periodic credit reviews, covenant monitoring and post‑completion conditions on all existing customers.
• Responsibility for building and maintaining new relationships with key professionals.
• Including clients and brokers with additional knowledge of and regular contact with solicitors and valuers where required.
• Representing the bank at industry events, conferences and networking forums to enhance visibility and market share.

A Bit About You – You Are/have

• A proven property lending Relationship Manager/Director with a similar organisation, consistently meeting lending targets with a desire to exceed expectations and experience in originating loans of up to £20million.
• Strong business development skills with broad market knowledge and presence.
• Proven ability to build trusted long‑term relationships with clients, brokers and professional partners.
• An existing network of brokers and introducers who can support you and enable your own success at GB Bank.
• Strong understanding of property finance products (development finance, bridging and investment loans).
• Knowledge of risk management, core lending and financial analysis skills. Ensuring all lending proposals are compliant with internal credit policies and the bank’s risk appetite.
