Job summary

Cynergy Bank is seeking a Relationship Director to lead a high-value business portfolio in London, delivering growth while maintaining strong risk standards and exceptional customer outcomes.

Based in Central London with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home), you will coach a small team, identify lending opportunities and nurture long-term client relationships across SME, Commercial and Corporate banking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Business, Commercial or Corporate Banking relationship management.
• Experience managing a lending portfolio within the SME, Commercial or Corporate Banking market.
• Strong credit assessment and lending structuring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sustainable portfolio growth and income performance in line with the Bank's Business Banking strategy.
• Proactively manage and develop a portfolio of business customers (£5m-£60m lending).
• Maximise new lending opportunities and drive product uptake with existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
• Independently assess and prepare high-quality lending proposals.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure the Bank remains competitive.
• Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a high-quality customer experience and continuous process improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve individual and collective success.
