The role: Property Reinsurance Pricing Actuary
• We are seeking to hire an experienced Actuary to join our Property team based in London.
• In this role, you will apply your expertise in insurance and reinsurance pricing techniques to provide outstanding client service and contribute to the ambitious growth targets of the team.
• We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, happy to lead meetings and deliver risk solutions.
The responsibilities:
• Risk analysis and modelling of clients’ portfolios including complex multinational groups.• Design and evaluation of risk management strategies for Property lines.• Building of bespoke models, pricing of reinsurance contracts, structured insurance solutions and capital market products.• Being involved in renewals, tenders and ad-hoc projects.• Liaising with stakeholders and building strong relationships by communicating effectively, internally and externally, to maximise service delivery levels.• Supporting development of product innovation, both to cement/expand existing relationships and to facilitate entry into new ones.• Opportunity to manage and train junior colleagues.
About You
• Qualified actuary or close to qualification.• Ideally from a reinsurance background although we can compromise for fast learners.• Ideally from a Property experience although once again not mandatory.• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to forming relationships with clients.• Sound knowledge and confidence in presenting model outputs, model limitations, and assumptions.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
