Job summary

YTL UK is seeking Reinstatement Operatives in Poole to join our outdoor Reinstatement team. You will work in a two-person crew to reinstate excavations in highways, footways and other paved areas, handling asphalt work and manhole repairs.

Applicants should be able to operate small plant, know laying procedures, and have a clean driving licence (NRSWA welcome). Weekend and night shifts may be required, with comprehensive pension and holiday benefits.

• Knowledge of material specifications and approved laying procedures is required.
• Experience with blacktop reinstatement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out permanent reinstatement of excavations in highways, footways and other hard paved areas.
• Work in a two-person team on reinstatement projects across the business.
• Perform asphalt/white topping and repair/replace manhole frames and covers.

Job description

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have opportunities in our Reinstatement team.

Reporting to the Area Reinstatement Controller, you will be responsible for the permanent reinstatement of excavations in highways, footways and other hard paved areas.

What you'll do

As one of our Reinstatement Operatives based in Poole, you will work in a two-person team, carrying out small and large reinstatements for other parts of the business.

This will include asphalt and white top work in footways and carriageways, along with repairing and replacing manhole frames and covers.

Working some weekends and night shifts will also be required.

What you'll need

The ability to operate small plant, eg, pedestrian rollers, disc cutters, trench rammers and plate compactors.

You should also have knowledge of material specifications and laying procedures, as well as some experience in blacktop reinstatement.

A full clean driving licence is essential, and a 7.5t or 18t licence, along with an NRSWA streetworks accreditation, is preferred.
