Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Supervising role within the Mainlaying department to lead construction teams and ensure work meets safety, quality, time and cost standards. You will liaise with internal teams and external customers, delivering team briefs and toolbox talks while supporting practical site management and upholding health and safety best practices.

You will be well-organised, customer-focused and committed, with knowledge of water main replacement techniques and strong leadership abilities on

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to progress your career as a Supervising position within our Mainlaying department, which provides a vital service helping to ensure we supply water.

What you'll do

Supervising the construction teams and operatives to carry out a variety of projects, you will assist the Site Supervisor on a practical level to the required standards in accordance with safety, quality, time and cost policies. You will liaise with both internal departments and external customers to ensure all site activities meet requirements and meet stakeholder needs.

You will ensure construction teams and operatives are complying with health and safety best practices when performing their work. To help you monitor health and safety, you'll frequently use your laptop to update and comply with our safe systems of work.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering team briefs and regular toolbox talks.

What you'll need

You will need to be well-organised, customer-focused, and committed.

You will also need:

• a good knowledge and understanding of water main replacement techniques
• good leadership skills and proven experience in coordinating and leading teams
• to be able to communicate with the customers and clients
• excellent computer skills with a good understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• excellent health and safety knowledge
• a full and valid driving licence.
