Job summary

The AICS Group in Kent is seeking Rehabilitation Support Workers to assist an 8-year-old client who has a brain injury and complex needs. You will provide in-home support and help the client access community activities, working with a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle, willingness to drive the client’s adapted MPV, and experience in health and social care. Full-time or part-time hours are available, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Current, clean driving licence.
• Own vehicle to drive to and from work.
• Willingness and ability to drive the client’s adapted MPV.
• Minimum 1 year experience in health and social care
• Minimum 6 months experience working with children with complex needs
• Understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to implement therapy guidelines
• Willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback
• Good IT skills
• Experience of providing care to people living in the community

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation support in the client’s home.
• Support client to access community activities and services.
• Coordinate with health and social care professionals as needed.
• Assist with therapy guidelines and care plans.
• Safely transport the client to appointments using the adapted MPV.
