We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly Cockermouth & Maryport ICC Rehabilitation Team.
This is much more than a job where you simply follow a care plan. You will be an important part of a multidisciplinary team, working directly with patients to support their rehabilitation, encourage progress and celebrate those all-important milestones along the way.
No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone to regain their mobility, helping them practise everyday activities, encouraging them when rehabilitation feels challenging, or simply being the person who gives them the confidence to try again.
You will work alongside experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other members of the team, with opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills through our clinician led in-service training days.

A Rehabilitation Assistant in a multi-disciplinary team is expected to work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi-disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard.As a rehabilitation assistant reporting to a registered health professional, the post holder will implement rehabilitation plans for patients in the community and other settings, observe the patient's condition, providing direct care with a rehabilitation and therapy focus. This may include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of a daily living.
Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the patient group.
The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post. The hours of work will be on a rota covering a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 20.00 p.m.
