Job summary

Vincere in Manchester is seeking a Regulatory Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to join a large, national regulatory team. The role focuses on inquests for police, emergency services, insurers and healthcare clients, with you regularly appearing in court and owning your own caseload.

You will advise on inquest matters, prepare submissions, and progress cases to meet deadlines and KPIs, supported by a wider national team. Hybrid working is available where the role allows.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (3+ years’ PQE)
• Inquest experience is essential
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Confident communicator with a professional, calm approach
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently
• Willingness to develop advocacy skills further
• Desirable: Criminal defence experience
• Desirable: Wider regulatory defence experience

Responsibilities

• Advise clients and prepare inquest cases for court

• Attend inquests and undertake advocacy on clients’ behalf

Regulatory Solicitor

Location: Manchester

Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: 3+ years’ PQE

Our client is looking to hire a Regulatory Solicitor into a large, well-regarded national regulatory team, based in Manchester. This is a great move for someone who genuinely enjoys advocacy and wants a role where you are regularly on your feet, running inquest matters for a broad client base.

The focus is inquests for police and other emergency services, insurers and healthcare clients. If you have solid inquest experience and want to build your advocacy profile further, this is well worth a conversation.

This is predominantly an advocacy role, with regular attendance at court. You will take ownership of your own caseload, prepare matters thoroughly, and represent clients at inquests, supported by a wider national team.

What You’ll Be Doing
