Your Next Challenge

The Regulatory Operations Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of environmental remediation projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring project progress, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading your project team to deliver excellent service with operational and regulatory excellence.

This position requires close work with client-facing teams and support functions, applying our 7 principles:

You will:

• Proactively assess and improve the customer experience both digitally and offline.
• Communicate effectively at the Executive level.
• Have experience in the Financial Services industry, understanding consumer duty and complaint management.

As the Regulatory Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing environmental remediation projects, collaborating with teams, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance, and leading your team.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

• Lead remedial projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including regulatory bodies, for effective communication and implementation.
• Prepare reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes for senior management and regulators.

Procedural Processes

• Develop, implement, and refine procedural processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Leadership and People Management

• Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance for success.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure remedial actions comply with regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty and internal policies.
• Implement and monitor projects that uphold consumer duty, ensuring fair treatment and addressing issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Person Specification

Essential

• Project management experience in FCA-regulated firms.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, consumer duty, complaint management, and risk practices in financial services.
• Experience in recruiting and managing project teams.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
• Innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Resilience to change and adaptability.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience with AML/CTF, KYC, Customer Due Diligence, and Payments Infrastructure.
• Background in compliance is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Ability to create analytics and reports for senior leadership.

Education

• Higher education or university degree.
