Job Description

The role will be part of the EMEA Regulatory Compensation team within the broader EMEA Compensation & Benefits team. This team ensures compliance with applicable EMEA regulatory requirements related to bank compensation policies and practices, including monitoring regulatory developments, implementing new requirements, and reporting to regulators and remuneration committees.

The EMEA Regulatory Compensation Specialist will support activities such as regulatory reporting, submissions, remuneration committee reporting, automation projects, and audits related to Material Risk Taker compensation rules.

The Team

We are seeking an EMEA Regulatory Compensation Specialist to join our London or Chester office. This role offers exposure to EMEA compensation regulations and interaction with stakeholders across various teams including EMEA and Global Regulatory, Legal, HR, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of remuneration regulatory reports and disclosures.
  • Support reports for local remuneration committees and boards across EMEA.
  • Assist with the application of MRT rules, including audits and controls.
  • Collaborate on regulatory projects, including automation initiatives.
  • Stay updated on UK & EU regulations and ensure compliance in remuneration reports.
  • Maintain governance, controls, and documentation of compliance assessments.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and research for the broader team.
Minimum Requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of managing large datasets.
  • Experience or familiarity with UK & EU regulatory compensation landscape (preferred but not obligatory).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach and ability to drive deliverables.
  • Experience in compensation practices within a large multinational financial services firm.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Ability to work independently and in remote teams.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Commercial acumen.
