Job summary

Pontoon is recruiting a Governance and Regulatory Change Manager for a major payments business. The role is a contract until March 2027, based across Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or Halifax with hybrid working (2 days on site, 3 days remote).

You will lead regulatory, risk and audit remediation within the Group Sourcing & Supplier Management function, translating findings into actionable delivery plans. Experience in regulated financial services, stakeholder management, and strong data skills

Qualifications

• Experience delivering regulatory change in financial services.
• Strong governance, risk, controls, and audit programme understanding.
• Experience with policy teams and risk frameworks.
• Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Confidently challenge to ensure delivery commitments.
• Experience managing complex action plans and remediation.
• Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel; Power BI is advantageous.
• Knowledge of supplier management or third-party risk beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of regulatory, audit, and risk remediation activities.
• Translate findings into clear delivery plans and actions.
• Embed requirements into the Sourcing & Supplier Management Framework.
• Coordinate responses to risk reviews and Internal Audit findings.
• Drive accountability and timely completion of actions.
• Collaborate with risk, policy, control, audit and supplier stakeholders.
• Assess and enhance sourcing tools, processes and controls.
• Analyse data to identify trends and risks.
• Build recommendations to strengthen governance and compliance.
• Manage risks, milestones and escalations related to regulatory initiatives.
