Job summary

Suade is seeking a Midlevel Software Engineer to help translate regulatory requirements into robust software systems for financial institutions. You will work in a fast-growing regtech SaaS environment with a strong emphasis on code quality and scalable architecture.

Based in London, you’ll contribute to product delivery using Python, Git, and modern testing practices while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and agile teams. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience with Python.
• Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with unit tests and automated testing.
• Exposure to large codebases with multiple authors and timelines.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks like Kanban or Scrum.
• Comfortable using Unix-based OS (e.g. Ubuntu).

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications within the RegTech team.
• Contribute to delivery of the product roadmap and ship code for customers.
• Grow coding skills and become a portfolio owner within the team.
• Collaborate with engineers to build and refine the platform architecture.
• Contribute ideas to platform architecture and see implementations.
• Participate in design reviews to keep the product current.
• Promote best practices like TDD and code analysis.
• Consider non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
