Registered Veterinary Nurse – Severn Edge Vets

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable RVN to work 5 days a week, with a mixture of early and late shifts and 1 in 4 Saturdays. We can be flexible on these hours to suit you, so do get in contact if you are interested. This role would involve working predominantly at our Cleobury Mortimer branch but also our Bewdley branch.

The role includes but isn't limited to:

1. Advocating for and driving successful nurse consults/clinics
2. Assisting the Vet team with examining patients, minor procedures and anaesthetics
3. Ensuring the practice is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and helping set up for the following week
4. Managing the smooth day to day running of both sites
5. Supporting and coaching SVN's
6. Responsible and accountable for leading and mentoring the nursing and animal care team
7. Responsible and accountable for all aspects of nursing team management, including but not limited to holiday management, rota and diary management and absence reporting and monitoring in line with CVS policy
8. Line managing the nursing and reception teams
9. Ensuring maintenance and repair of equipment
10. Chairing and facilitating monthly interactive branch meetings
11. Advocating for the client experience and client satisfaction

About Us:
We are a large practice group with 10 practices across Shropshire and Worcestershire, with a 24 hour hospital in Bridgnorth. Our Cleobury Mortimer branch is a rural 1-2 vet branch, with very loyal friendly clients, and a fantastic friendly team.

We have a close working relationship with several dog and cat charities which does make up a section of our work here. Our Bewdley branch is again a 1-2 vet practice situated in the heart of town and the community, the clients here are very proactive and engaged with the care of their animals. At both sites our nurse consults are very popular and there is a lot of nurse led care. At both sites we have theatres, multi-parameter monitoring, patient warming, x-ray, ultrasound, dentistry including dental x-ray at Bewdley. We offer laparoscopic procedures and orthopaedic procedures at our hospital and other branches.

The current holder of this position is moving internally to our hospital site to fulfil their own interests and career progression which is fully encouraged.

We are looking for a reliable, organised, proactive and ambitious team leader with excellent communication, patient and client care standards and great attention to detail.

You would be fully supported by a CD/ PM who work over 4 sites, as well as being part of the nursing leadership team in Severn Edge and CVS.
