We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified RVN or a final-year student nurse to join our outstanding nursing team. This role has become available due to one of our valued nurses pursuing a career change.
At our practice, nurses play a vital and respected role in clinical care. Responsibilities include anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient nursing, blood sampling, radiography, and running nurse-led clinics such as nutrition, diabetes management, and wellness checks. Our nurses are central to our operations, and even our Practice Director is an RVN, reflecting the high value we place on our nursing team.
We are committed to empowering our nurses with a strong clinical voice, supported by regular clinical meetings and shared decision-making within our collaborative culture.
This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week), with flexibility for part-time or flexible arrangements. The role involves participation in a shared weekend rota (1 in 7) and evening shifts.
You will join a dedicated team of 11 vets, 8 RVNs, 1 student veterinary nurse, 2 animal care assistants, and 12 receptionists across three Ayrshire practices in Saltcoats, Largs, and Dundonald. Leadership includes a Vet Clinical Director, RVN Practice Director, RVN Practice Manager, and Head RVN, demonstrating our commitment to veterinary nursing at every level.
