We are looking for an RVN to join our fantastic team—someone who brings energy, fresh ideas, and a desire to be part of a forward-thinking hospital.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, with flexible options for part-time applicants. No out-of-hours work is required.

About The Team

We are a friendly, supportive team in a large RCVS-accredited hospital with Gold Cat Friendly and Silver Rabbit Friendly status. Our facilities include a separate cat-only area and exotics ward, and we handle a varied caseload that keeps every day interesting.

Our team comprises 9 vets—from new graduates to highly experienced clinicians—and 10 qualified nurses supported by student nurses and ANAs, enabling our RVNs to focus on clinical work. We have certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Endoscopy, and Zoological Medicine, along with visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Soft Tissue, and Diagnostic Imaging.

As a Vets Now host practice, there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday shifts, ensuring a better work-life balance, with only one scheduled overtime shift every other week.

We encourage team members to grow, take on leadership or mentoring roles, and contribute to developing protocols and practices.

What We Are Looking For

A qualified RVN with post-qualification experience is ideal, though confident newly qualified nurses are also encouraged to apply. You should be comfortable across all nursing areas, with a strong focus on patient care, client communication, and a proactive approach to improvement and change.

Opportunities include diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, dental X-ray, endoscopy), exotics, complex in-house cases, and Schedule 3 procedures. Interest in floor coordination, organization, and developing leadership skills is a plus.
