We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to work at our well-equipped, RCVS-accredited Veterinary Centre located in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is a full-time role, offering 39.5 hours per week.
Our team consists of 7.5 Vets, 18 Nurses, and a dedicated reception team! We are looking for someone to join us working a 4-day week — we understand how important a great work/life balance is, so you get to enjoy 3 days off every week and experience the beautiful South Somerset.
Our OOH On Call is covered by a dedicated Out Of Hours centre, which we can also refer critical inpatients to. We offer paid CPD, and extra training is encouraged with the opportunity to study for further qualifications.
We are an RCVS tier 2 practice incorporating 4 centres, with lots of opportunity for growth and learning. Our main centre at Crewkerne is fully equipped with up-to-date Ultrasound, endoscope, Digital x-ray, dedicated dental x-ray suite, ECG, multi-parameters, Tonometers, and full in-house Blood diagnostic machines including Biochemistry, Haematology, electrolytes, T4, and microscopy. Separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels are available, with one of our practices having achieved Silver IFSM award. We also have a visiting Orthopaedic Specialist to help you advance your surgical skills.
We strive to give our clients top-standard care, whether they have been with us many years or are new clients. As part of a large team, you will have the support of your colleagues and enjoy team events and functions. As a training practice, we also support and help train the next generation of nurses.
The working hours are 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with one Saturday morning every three weeks from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
