Job description

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic RVN to work alongside our large team of Vets, Nurses, Student Nurses, Veterinary Auxiliaries, and Receptionists. The role will include all aspects of nursing. The position is based at our branch in Harborne, located in the West Midlands on the outskirts of Birmingham. We have great transport links into Birmingham city centre and are lucky enough to have some beautiful rural areas nearby such as Kinver, Clent Hills, and the Lickey Hills. You'll be mainly based at our Harborne site; however, there will be occasions in which you'll be required to cover at our other local branches.

Work-life balance that works for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that's why we know that a good work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle, no matter what stage you are in your career. Ideally, we're looking for someone to cover a full-time role by working 40 hours per week. Shifts will be varied between 6, 8, or 10 hours, between 7am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 8-12.30 on Saturdays.

About us

We have ultrasound, CT, K-laser, Endoscopy, and laparoscopy and dental x-ray which allow us to offer a wide range of services to our clients. At our hospital, we have 3-5 vets working per day and certificate holders in multiple disciplines (surgery, medicine, cardiology, exotic species, ophthalmology, and ECC). As a practice, we support various local charities, and this makes up some of our caseload.

Manor Vets is built up of 24 Veterinary Surgeons, 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Veterinary Auxiliaries, 17 Receptionists, 4 admin staff, and a team of managers, each one a vital part of our team. We have certificate holders across our practices in various disciplines which allows us to keep a large and varied caseload in-house.

Because our people matter

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises, and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from:
