Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Job description

Are you a qualified or newly qualified Veterinary Nurse looking to thrive in a forward-thinking, kind, and collaborative practice? We’re looking for an RVN to join our team across our two Wolverhampton branches, Fallings Park and Penn Fields, where flexibility, growth and team wellbeing come first.

What’s the Role?

You’ll be part of a close-knit team undertaking a varied and rewarding caseload across both sites. Your day-to-day will include assisting in theatre and running nurse consultations, with plenty of opportunities to make a genuine difference to pets and their owners. We actively encourage development and offer full CPD support so you can grow your skills and interests with us.

Your Schedule

We’re proud to offer flexible rota patterns that support a healthy work-life balance. Whether you're seeking full time or part time hours, we’re happy to tailor a rota that works for you. A typical full-time role would average around 40 hours per week across 4 to 5 days, with shifts between 8:30am-6:30pm or 9:00am-7:00pm. You’ll take part in a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (9:00am-2:00pm), with no out-of-hours, and we’re closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

About St George’s Vets

St George’s is a two-site small animal practice in Wolverhampton, accredited as an RCVS Tier 2 Practice and Veterinary Nurse Training Practice. Across both locations, we’re well equipped with endoscopy, ultrasound, dental x-ray, full Idexx lab, and an orthopaedic kit. Our clinical environment is built on mutual respect, kindness, and innovation. We believe in caring for our team first, so they can care for our patients and clients at their best.

We’re proud to embrace Vetled initiatives, placing a strong emphasis on psychological safety, civility, and continuous improvement. It’s a collaborative culture where everyone’s ideas and passions are supported-whether you’re bringing surgical skills, patient care experience or just a positive, respectful attitude.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A mindset of kindness, respect and willingness to contribute to our positive workplace culture is essential. Whether you’re newly qualified or already experienced, if you’re looking for a team that values you, supports your growth and helps you achieve your best, this could be your perfect next step.
