Job Description

Introduction

Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team across two well-equipped small animal branches in semi-rural Leicestershire.

Working Hours / Rota

37 hours per week based on a 4-day week. Saturday morning rota – maximum 1 in 4 (currently 1 in 7).

Salary

Up to £27,700 depending on experience.

Role Description

This position covers a wide range of nursing responsibilities including theatre work, inpatient care, nurse consults, laboratory duties, and schedule 3 procedures. Nurses are encouraged to pursue areas of special interest, and CPD is fully supported. Current nurses are undertaking certificates in surgical, diagnostic imaging, and emergency and critical care.

Team Size

The team includes 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 1 Animal Care Assistant, 10 Vets, and a large reception team.

Practice Details

RCVS and Cat Friendly accredited, the practice has two branches. The recently refurbished Lutterworth site includes two theatres, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, separate cat and dog wards, and other modern facilities.
