Job summary

Hungerford Vets Ltd in Hungerford is seeking a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse on a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover. The role supports the clinical team in Hungerford and Pewsey, delivering high-quality nursing care across first opinion cases.

You will work ~28 hours weekly, with set weekdays and one Saturday in four. The role requires RCVS registration, clinical practice experience, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
Experience working in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
Good organisational skills and workload management.
Proactive approach to learning, reflection and improvement.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and caring for inpatients.
Theatre work.
Administering medications.
Following treatment plans.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in animal care areas.
Assisting vets with examinations.
