Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Hungerford is seeking a motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Hungerford Vets on a full-time basis. You will be part of a 14-vet, 18-nurse team in a large 24-hour hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive learning culture.

The role includes anaesthesia, theatre work, inpatients and consulting with occasional night shifts on a rota; excellent opportunities for development through our Nurse Academy and senior clinical pathways.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients and support excellent client experiences.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider team.
• Take responsibility for nursing care across first opinion cases, including anaesthesia, theatre work, inpatients and consulting.
• Support the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
• Participate in night shifts on a rota.
